The Anatomy of Amazon's Kindle Reader

The newest baby of Amazon, Kindle Reader, is lighting up the minds of millions of people all over the world-or, at least, for those who have got hold of their newest innovation immediately.

Kindle is basically like your own library, only that you can bring it with you anywhere you go. You can even tuck it in your bag. It boasts of over 90,000r reading materials, such as books, magazines, and blogs. Any update from the latter two will be delivered right at your own reader. But what else do you need to know about Kindle?

1. It uses ink. This is practically no joke. Kindle is traditional in the sense that it tries to capture the readability and scan ability of physical newspapers. What sets the difference, though, is that the ink is converted to something electronic. Besides giving you the feeling that you're actually reading a real paper, it also allows you to read it even under natural sunlight. There's no need for you to suffer under the glare o computer screens.

2. It connects you. Kindle uses a new technology called Whispernet. It gives you access to the Internet without the hassle of cable wires. You don't even have to look for any WiFi hotspot. This also allows you to surf through the Web and read any interesting material from Wikipedia. Also, you can order your books immediately. They will also be delivered to you instantly. You should learn to take advantage of this as there's no extra cost attach to it.

3. It's ergonomic. The design of Kindle has received a number of harsh criticisms, but for the book lover, it spells bliss. Because a reader has a tendency to change position while reading, Kindle has been designed vertical for long form reading. Also, navigation buttons, which are located at each side, means that both the right-handed and left-handed can skim through the pages of the book with relative ease and comfort.

4. It has a QWERTY keyboard. Because anybody who has his own PC or at least used a computer knows the QWERTY keyboard really well, there's not much training you need to do when it comes to searching for and buying your favorite book, newspaper, or magazine from the Internet.

5. It lasts longer. It has one of the most long-lasting batteries, even longer than those found in cell phones and laptops. If you're going to make use of your wireless connection, you may have to recharge your reader at least every other day. Otherwise, you can have one full week of uninterrupted reading. You also don't have to wait that long too before the battery gets fully charged. Within two hours, you can go back to your routine, which is reading.

6. It has useful accessories. There's no such thing as trivial accessory if you speak about Kindle. You can utilize the USB cable when you're going to transfer files from your Kindle to your PC and vice versa. The book cover, meanwhile, offers protection to your ebook reader, making sure that it doesn't get any scratch or dirty.

How to Convert Audio Cassette Tapes to MP3 Files Or MP3 CD

Cassette Tapes have been widely replaced by the CDs and for lots of people, MP3 files are perfect format as Mp3 Files provide great sound quality and takes lesser space on your hard disk or CD. I really don't need to say anything about the popularity of Mp3 files. This format is extremely popular and supported by almost all portable devices like iPod, iRiver, Creative Zen, Mobile phones etc..

It is a great idea to convert your Tapes to Mp3 files or CD. This way you can preserve your records as well as carry your favorite music anywhere with you.

Converting Tapes To Mp3 means, you need to record your tapes into your computer. It is very easy and now let me tell you how to convert audio cassettes tapes to Mp3 format without any hassles. Please do these things step by step and there is no way you'll face any problems :-

1. First of all, you need a recording software to record from your cassette player. You might use Windows Sound Recorder but unfortunately, it doesn't support recordings larger than 1 minute. Therefore, practically Windows Sound Record is of no use If you want to use it for recording audio cassettes into Mp3 format. There are other software available for this purpose and I'll discuss this later in the article.

2. You need to connect Headphone out (or Line Out) jack of your tape player to Line In jack of your computer's sound card with a Stereo to Stereo cable having 1/8" plugs on each end. Ask for this cable at Radio Shack or nearby hardware stores. You should get this cable very easily and cheap. This cable will act as a medium of transferring audio data from your tape player to your computer's sound card.

3. Run the recording software and select "Line In" recording source and start recording the output of cassette player. You can also monitor the recording.

4. Once the recording is done, break the files so that you can get a separate file for an individual song. If you save the whole file, all the tracks will be in one file and you'll face problem when you'll want to hear a particular song. You won't be able to walk between different songs so make sure to break up the recorded file while converting cassette tapes to mp3.

5. After breaking the file into individual songs, you can either burn an Audio CD or an MP3 CD. You can also just save MP3 on your hard disk and transfer them to a player of your choice.

Please note that MP3 format is a compressed format and make sure that you use higher bit rates to save the recorded file. Higher bit rates will save the resultant mp3 file in excellent quality.

My father has got a box full of cassette tapes and he almost forgot that. I converted those Tapes To MP3 files myself and inserted the MP3 CD into his car's CD player. He is greatly delighted to listen his favorite music again. This is the software I used to convert Cassettes to MP3. This software supports a whole lot of features including burning CDs. Give this a shot and make your parents proud on you!

Review Sherlock Holmes: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

Sherlock Holmes: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Best Review

Guy Ritchie's highly-anticipated film about Sir Arthur's legendary sleuth from 221b Baker Street is nothing less than a bull's-eye saying "V.R." My favourite tracks are "Psychological Recovery...6 Months," "Catatonic," "I Never Woke Up In Handcuffs Before," "Marital Sabotage" & "Discombobulate" (featured prominently at the end of the movie).
However, I feel "Psychological Recovery...6 Months" was mis-named, though, as it's really the big action set-piece, which takes place during the thrilling climax of this excellent film. Robert Downey Jr, Jude Law & Rachel McAdams were perfect. Downey's English accent was spot-on, and there are references a-plenty from the stories themselves, including a famous line from William Shakespeare's "Henry V," which was used by Sir Arthur as Holmes' catchphrase. Mark Strong was imposing and terrifying as the villain. All the while, a familiar adversary lurks in the shadows...
Get ready for "Sherlock Holmes 2," combing through the clues December 16, 2011.

The Sherlock Holmes - Anninstnt - Aubrey, Texas USA
This soundtrack as well as the movie reminds me of those great 60's and 70's movies like "The Great Race" and "The Great Train Robbery", albeit more moddern and a bit darker. The film is just as fun as the music and vice versa. The soundtrack holds up to all the great soundtracks, meaning it has its own story to tell without the film.

Awesome soundtrack - Zizzed - Portland, OR United States
I could repeat what many have said, but I will keep it simple - this is a fantastic soundtrack. It has a very unique sound and fits Guy Richie's style very well. After seeing the movie I couldn't get the main melody out of my head for hours. When I bought the soundtrack, I must have listened to it two or three times and savored every track. Discombobulate is a thoroughly enjoyable 2 and half minutes of fun.

Good stuff. Hans Zimmer is in the same exalted category of great composers as Goldsmith, Williams, Horner, and (more recent inductee) Giacchino.

Ennio Morricone shoulda got a credit for the theme... - Tuco - Phoenix, Az USA
I enjoy the album as much as the next guy but I am surprised it's not mentioned in any reviews how heavily Zimmer 'borrowed' both theme and sound from Ennio Morricone's Once Upon a Time in the West score...

Check out tracks 3, 5 and 9 here:

Once Upon A Time In The West: The Original Soundtrack Recording

Otherwise, it's a refreshing departure from Zimmers normal action score style.
