Pokemon Leaf Green (2009-03-20)
I love pokemon. Great game. Alot of fun and very addicting. I just wish they would make a game like this for the bigger systems. One that you can actually go and catch pokemon like on the TV show. Until they get smart enough to do that, I will continue to have fun with what they have out.

Fun (2009-03-12)
It's as fun as I thought it would be. I like how the Pokemon look. Some parts challenging, but overall very fun.

Another Great Pokemon Game (2009-01-05)
I owned the original Pokemon Blue many years ago and loved it, so I was surprised to find they had remade it for the GBA. It's essentially the same game, so if you loved the original Pokemon games, you'll love this one. The differences are in the features they added, which include islands from other games, the National Dex, Deoxys, and the like.

A fun game! (2009-01-05)
I got the Pokemon Leaf Green Version and loved it(or at least I think I did)! I had it when I was really young, which means I didn't know any better than to take the cartridge out while I was playing it. It messed it up, so instead of getting Pokemon Leaf Green, I got Fire Red because I thought it was all the Leaf Green Versions. Now that I have sold my Fire Red Version, I can get a new Leaf Green Version. I read another review saying how there is better selection in Leaf Green, and that won me over. I'm sure I will enjoy it once I get it again.

funnest pokemon game so far (2009-01-04)
This is the best game so far! You start by choosing 1 of 3 pokemon(if anyone cares, i chose charmander), and your rival chooses the pokemon that is best matched to the one you chose, and occasionally comes out of nowhere and battles you. I rated this 4 stars fun because some of the parts are boring, such as mt. moon and rock tunnel. I found rock tunnel really boring because you can only see about three steps in front of you without flash, which is a "just about worthless" move. But the rest of the game is pretty good, you gain exp from knocking out pokemon(knocking out trainer's pokemon get you more exp). The controls are simple and there are more than 300 pokemon! All the gym leaders are pretty tough(except for 1,2, and 4), and I found it perfect. You'll be happy to get this one.

Pokemon Fire Red (2009-03-20)
I love pokemon. Great game. Alot of fun and very addicting. I just wish they would make a game like this for the bigger systems. One that you can actually go and catch pokemon like on the TV show. Until they get smart enough to do that, I will continue to have fun with what they have out.

Pokemon Fires up the awesome game engines! (2009-03-01)
Ok, now you have finally got a game that is actually a remake of the old games which i fell in love with. This is a remake of red, now with wireless action, better graphics, seven islands, and new pokemon! Mewtwo still lives, and now you can tradw with ruby and sapphire. plus, like in ruby and sapphire you had latias and latios, in this game you have the three cool kids from the johto region. That means youve got one of three, depending on your starter, raikou, suicune, and entei.
Your rival is the champion. you must beat him to win. and then explore the seven islands, though you get three of the islands beforehand. And the johto pokemon are still around, like tyranitar. And the safari zone is cooler. The unknown have appeared, and there is also battle hill. This tower is a place where you battle to the top, and the faster your there the better.
THis game is a perfect remake of pokemon red version, and im sure that youll love it! The only con is probably that you must have sixty pokemon in the pokedex to get the national pokedex. I hope that you love this game, and the people who wrote negative reviews could probably read this. This game is awesome. I hope you end up saying, "ba dap ba ba ba im lovin it!"

Good game for Pokemon fans (2009-02-25)
My granddaughters have enjoyed playing this game. There are many different areas of play and lots of different adventures to pursue.

Timeless game (2009-02-23)
I absolutely love this game series. I was very happy to find it in perfect condition being sold for a reasonable price by an awesome seller. Great plot, great game, great fun.

Awesome! (2009-02-21)
Awesome game. If you have Red Version, this is like an updated one with MUCH better graphics and gameplay. A lot is added here.

But, one question: What's up with $61.49 for a new game?

Mario Kart: Super Circuit brings the classic high-speed hijinks of Mario and friends roar onto the Game Boy Advance! Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Wario, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Toad and Bowser put the pedal to the go-kart metal in 20 all-new tracks, plus additional hidden tracks and classic multiplayer Battle Mode. Grab coins to max out your speed and blast your rivals with the ever-popular arsenal of red, green and spiked Koopa shells. Bwa ha ha! Players can hop into the role of any racer.
Amazon.com Review
Nintendo's winning streak of rehashing and enhancing classic Super Nintendo games for the tiny GBA screen continues with this surprisingly addictive arcade racer. For those new to the Mario Kart game series, Nintendo mascots (Mario, Donkey Kong, Luigi, etc.) race go-carts along fantastic tracks that feature various offensive and defensive power-ups (banana peels and mushroom boosts, to name two). Accumulate enough points and you'll win circuit trophies.

Each mascot has a ride that handles and accelerates differently, yet the controls for each racer feel very tight and precise. The highly detailed, cartoony locales of Mario Kart Super Circuit show visuals that are both very sharp and fluidly animated. Though not nearly as fast, Mario Kart Super Circuit looks better and can be more intense than the vaunted F-Zero launch title.

If you perform well enough and collect enough coins in a tournament, you can unlock a plethora of bonus tracks--some of which are from older console Mario Kart titles. The fun multiplayer options include head-to-head racing and a balloon battle mode, in which you blast other racers with power-ups in a huge arena until there's only one driver left. --Mark Brooks

Pros:

  • Bright graphics that are both fast and fluid
  • Multiplayer battle mode is loads of fun
  • Many, many tracks!
Cons:
  • May be too cute for some

Amazon.com Product Description
Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Wario, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Toad, and Bowser put the pedal to the go-kart metal in 20 all-new tracks, plus many hidden courses. Each track has its unique challenges, ranging from crabs skittering across Shy Guy Beach to the piranha plants lurking in the quicksand of Yoshi Desert. Grab coins to max out your speed and blast your rivals with the ever-popular arsenal of red, green, and spiked Koopa shells. You'll earn points with every high-place finish, and you'll win trophies with the completion of every four-race cup. Doing well will earn you a high rating and unlock more tracks. You can compete against as many as four friends (Game Boy Advance Game Link cables required). The game features multiple scrolling planes that move in perspective as you zip through high-speed turns.

Great fun with some flaws. (2008-11-12)
I don't need to say what's fun about Mario Kart, but I'll just get to the problem. Coins are tied to your car and if you lose all of them you lose control. And your opponet has no coins. Minor problem, still get it.

Multiplayer is a near impossible option, but still a very good game (2008-08-09)
Mario Kart: Super Circuit is a blend of concepts from the SNES Mario Kart and the N64 Mario Kart, all squished onto a tiny GBA cart. For its time, its graphics were impressive, and they still look pretty good thanks to bright colors and consistent art design.

The music is catchy, the sound effects add some personality, and the overall presentation is very slick.

The gameplay feels more like the SNES Mario Kart but with some refinement. Coins still litter the tracks, which adds a metagame to the proceedings. In order to achieve high rankings in cups, players need to collect lots of coins, use items effectively, AND get good times.

The items are just as useful as they ever were, taking a page from Mario Kart 64 as far as their execution is concerned: items can be be held onto, thrown forward and backward, etc. The items are essentially a copy of everything from Mario Kart 64, and that's all that was needed here. The controls can feel a bit cramped after long periods of play due to the mandatory use of both shoulder buttons and heavy use of the D pad while the A button is held down the majority of the time. If you've played Mario Kart DS, the button layout will be practically the same on your DS. The physics, as with each Mario Kart, have their own feel this time, and are more reminiscent of the SNES title.

Lastly, and most importantly, the track design is superb. Not only are all of the SNES tracks unlockable, there's a full set of brand new ones, and many of them are some of the most clever in the whole series. The new tracks look great and play excellently, with plenty of curves and turns and obstacles, each one feeling unique, for the most part.

Mario Kart: Super Circuit main flaw is that multiplayer is relatively bust. You'll need AT LEAST multiple GBA and link cables, (can't do it on the DS) plus you'll want multiple copies of the game for the full experience. Players can't do Battle Mode against CPUs, either, which is a disappointment. That said, this title is still quite fun even with just its single player stuff, and is n my opinion one of the best GBA games out there and one of the top Mario Kart games. Give it a go if only to experience the sweet tracks and revisit old ones.

Music Grates your nerves (2008-06-14)
I love every aspect of this game, but there is no option to turn OFF
the Background Music. This is a major complaint I have about all
games. If you want to hear the sound effects only, you aint getting it
here.

WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? MARIO KART ROCKS! 8.5 OUT OF 10 (2007-12-13)
Mario Kart is still hands down one of the best racing games ever made, and this Game Boy Advance version doesn't say otherwise. The graphics are still nicely detailed for a handheld game to the point of where it looks like a console game. The racing tracks are still awesome as they were in past iterations, the weapons are still excellent, the classic characters are still a lot of fun to play, and basically everything is still good. Unfortunately, it doesn't feel as good as my SNES and N64 Mario Kart games, it's still a lot of fun, but it just isn't as good. Still, it's one of the best handheld racers ever made, and there's no reason you shouldn't like it unless you dislike fun in general.

can't go wrong with mario kart! (2007-10-31)
Great game, you can't go wrong with any of the Mario Kart series. Time flies when I play this game!

Shocking Results (2009-03-16)
Special Pikachu addition of pokemon that came out way before gameboy color hit the shelves. Plays just as the original gameboy games, however unlike other reviews there is is something missing.

Remember that special "pikachu surfing" event? Well you can't get that ingame. That's right, meaning you would have to call nintendo and take it up to them for them to "install" the hardware into the game! What a money-milker. Very disappointing as a child, as I have wanted to play that game specifically for that purpose and the ability to catch "mew". This is as close to the series for the original 3, so if your into collecting these, get the yellow version. Interacting with pikachu is cute, but be warned how his mood changes can affect battles if you use him...

And it seems that they have taken out the "Indingo" pokemon, or "virus" it seems. It was said catching this pokemon (which was literally nothing more than a scrambled block with two eyes on it that make a polygon noise) would "erase" the save data on the game! I don't recall running into this pokemon, that can be found in the sea near the island. This game is old, so don't pay more than[..] for this. I know there's been quiet a few that have been selling this outdated game for ridiculous prices, simply because it's a "pikachu edition" based pokemon game.

Kids love it! (2009-01-28)
I bought this for one of my kids, because they had it in the past and it got lost. We got it again, and they love it!

Pokemon Pikachu Edition (2008-12-02)
My son is having so much fun with this game. He loves that his Pikachu follows him everywhere and that he can check his Pikachu's mood (ie: sad, happy). A great game.

The Crown of the Original Three (2008-09-30)
As has been done in other Pokemon versions (Gold/Silver then Crystal), Yellow tops off the two other Gameboy versions nicely (Red/Blue). In addition to having Pikachu as your constant companion, the additional changes, though subtle, will have you taking up the quest yet again to "catch 'em all".

Although the graphics outside of battle are lackluster, inside a battle between two Pokemon show off the graphical enhancements nicely. Pikachu's "mood meter" will have you attempting to please the little guy so you can obtain the best results in certain areas.

Since this follows the TV show (early in it's career), fans of that show might enjoy this version more than the average Pokemaniac. A slight improvement over the original two, any Pokemon fan would be welcome to add this to their collection.

Pros:

Pikachu's here, and he won't stay in his ball!
Slight graphics improvement during battles
It follows the TV show closer than the original two games

Cons:

Same old, same old Pokemon game. Only slight differences
Graphics are sub-par when travelling the world of Pokemon

Overall:

This game rates high with me personally, since I am a fan of Pikachu and Pokemon in general. This game is great for the Pokemon collector to obtain and add to his or her library. Not to be missed, especially at these prices. Warning, though: You might not be able to obtain a "complete" copy of this game anymore without shelling out some serious bucks.

Pokemon Yellow Version -GB (2008-05-06)
Good game I thought some of the graphic's were a little tacky for my taste although the funny part is they say this game is for the original Game Boy but when you play the game the background like houses and the ocean and people the graphics really suck major but when you get into a pokemon battle with another trainer and you see both pokemon their both in crystal clear color which is really weird because this game is suppose to be for the GB not GBC so go figure I just thought that was pretty interesting that only the pokemon would come in color who knows maybe that's why they said on the front "Special Pikachu Edition" on the game boy cartridge but I will admit this game with out a dout in my mind is extremely to long but a very interesting game good for very long road trips defently Oh and remember if your going on a long road trip and you take your GBA SP remember to take the car charger with you for that sort of thing or the easy way take the Original GBA and just buy double AA batteries when you need them I wouldn't really recommend taking the GBA SP on long road trip just because when you plug in the car charger you can't listen to the radio while the car charger is in I found that out the hard way 1 time I plugged in the car charger but then it some how wouldn't let me listen to the radio. So buy this game if you have a roadtrip coming up and you get bored in the car very easily or if you just need something to do or just get bored any where. If you have an extremely short attention span do not get this game you will get bored with it really quickly and then want to trade it in and it is a little bit of a frustrating game at times so if you can't take frustration don't get this game either. I would recommend this game for anyone 10 years of age or older.

Product Description
Pokemon Emerald is an extension of Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire -- you'll travel to an all-new region and explore as you face off against Team Aqua and Team Magma. An aspiring Pokemon trainer moves to tiny Littleroot Town and discovers all-new Pokemon to train and compete with -- now he's on the road to being a great trainer!
Amazon.com Product Description
Are you looking for a new Pokemon challenge? With a focus on continuing the story, Pokemon Emerald brings together elements and characters from Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. Emerald is the third adventure to take place in the Hoenn region, and it features all new areas and exciting new plot twists.

In Pokemon Emerald, your character is an aspiring Pokemon Trainer and new inhabitant of Littleroot Town. You'll enter the neighborhood amid a truckload of boxes, eager to explore your new environment. Eventually, you'll stumble upon a challenge that forces you to select from three Pokemon -- Torchic, Mudkip or Treecko. Once you decide, you can begin your quest to become the world's greatest Pokemon Trainer.

If you've played the Ruby or Sapphire installments, you'll recognize many of the locations in Emerald. Although familiar, quite a lot has changed in Emerald. The most exciting addition is Battle Frontier. No matter how well you think you know Hoenn, you will always discover something entirely new. Plus, you may even encounter a new Gym Leader in your journeys.

You are up against stiff competition in Emerald. Team Magma and Team Aqua once again look to disrupt the peaceful civility of Hoenn. Unlike Ruby and Sapphire, both gangs have set up camp in this adventure. That means you'll be facing double-the-evil, double-the-clever, scheming plans. To really spice things up, Emerald has added sightings of the rare Pokemon Rayquaza. The plot thickens!

The Battle Frontier of Pokemon Emerald brings together seven battle facilities. Each area provides a unique battle experience. Special Trainers called Frontier Brains head each facility and they will test every aspect of your combat skills. Your victories will be memorialized in the form of Frontier Symbols, and you must defeat the Frontier Brain at each location several times in order to earn your awards.

With new locations like Battle Dome, Battle Arena, Battle Factory, and Battle Pike, Pokemon Emerald will throw you awesome new twists and challenges. The new adventure in Hoenn is full of adventure and has plenty of opportunities to hone your battle skills. Just keep your composure, explore the island, and you can become the world's greatest Pokemon Trainer.

Pokemon Emerald Version (2009-03-17)
This game is addictive, and it has great replay value. Hours of fun can be expected. Once it is beaten, there is still more to do.

Great game!! (2009-03-11)
I did get far with in the span of three days but I really love this game! It has a lot of action. I would buy it again( oh wait I did) sorry, muggers got the first one!! But I still love this game!

One of the Best Pokemon Games (2009-03-11)
Now, I have to admit that I never played Ruby and Sapphire. I got on the "Gameboy Advance" bandwagon a bit late, and had to buy my gaming system used from the local gaming store, and bought Emerald at the same time. The last games I had played were Gold and Silver, and i was completely blown away.

I will say right now that my biggest gripe with pokemon Emerald was that I missed the original 150 pokemon, plus no in-game Eevee acquisition, which did ruffle my feathers a bit. However, the addition of Fire Red and Leaf Green to the Advance lineup mostly clears that up for me, even if I do lack a friend to trade with. Unfortunately, most pokemon gamers have moved on from the Game Boy Advance, which leaves me in a bit of a rut, but this, obviously, is not the point of the review.

Aside from the lack of a great number of kanto and johto pokemon, another gripe I had with this game was the lack of perception of time. The addition of weather was nice, but what's the point in having an ingame clock when neither day or night is recognized? While not a huge deal, it does make evolving an eevee into Umbreon on Emerald impossible, and negates the nocturnal habits of some wild pokemon as well. Again, not anything big.

While the storyline itself is fun, "beating" the game itself is not all that hard, especially is one chooses to take Rayquazza to the Pokemon League with them. But for me, the work before the Elite Four is not really the *fun* part about the game.

The best part about this game, IMO, is the Battle Frontier. I find myself spending most of my hours logged on this game breeding and raising pokemon specifically to be on my Battle Frontier teams. While your Blaziken might have served you well before in the game, you might find that he simple doesn't cut it in the Battle Dome, when he needs to have a wide range of moves to be able to match any opponent, or in the Temple, where you must rely on his nature in order to get through battles.

After the Elite Four, new johto pokemon appear in the Safari Zone, which also increases your pool of available pokemon for Frontier play.

All in all, I believe that this is a wonderful game, and well worth the money for any gamer, despite the small drawbacks.

Not worth $94.98 (2009-03-05)
This game is OK, but I just looked at the new price tag: $94.98? DON'T BUY THIS GAME AT THAT HIGH A PRICE. It's not worth almost a hundred dollars. Christ...

Gameboy Advance SP GameShark (2009-02-17)
The product worked great. This is an older device for use in Gameboy advance. Most kids today use the DS, but my kids also like to play with the Advance. This was hard to find anywhere else but I'm glad Amazon still carries it.

Worked with all my kid's games without any problems. My kids also were able to look up custom codes from the internet and prgram them into this device which was also a very nice feature.

Misleading customer image? (2009-01-29)
The customer image is misleading and therefore the person I allowed to order this did not get what they expected. However the item actually shown by seller is what I am rating.

The instrustion manual clearly states that using too many codes will have adverse effects. There is also a certain way to remove games from this to keep the item from getting scratched and unable to be read by the GBA. When used correctly this is a great item and deserves great reviews.

Do NOT buy this - It breaks after 1 use!!! (2009-01-09)
For some reason, this product will break after 1 use in a game boy advance. I bought this item, played it 1 time, and then it broken after rebooting. What it is is that Nintendo made different chips that after there chips enter the slot, they will break.

If you put it into your GBA after 1 Use, you will be prompted with a White Screen of Death. You will not be able to fix this.

DO NOT BUY!!!!

Questions? Email me at beaton94@yahoo.com.

Cheaters! (2008-11-02)
Listen up, if you cheat like crazy when it comes to gameboys like me, you're in luck. Very well organized, simple to use, and helps a lot. When I bought it it was inexpensive, so that was good too. It is pretty sturdy, but if you pull the GBA cartridges out too often, the metal prongs on the inside bend and wont read your games anymore, that is why I gave it 4 stars because I had to buy a second one. So if you are gentle with it, like I am now, it's a really good and handy item.

my granddaugher loves playing her ds (2008-10-24)
I made my granddaughter Tiani very happy sending her this Gameshark, together with the Action Replay
